V      Outreach Committee Callings

Answering God’s Call

The needs of God’s people in an ever-changing world are challenging to keep relevant.

It is important to be certain we are doing something meaningful, as well as being effective in the doing of it.

The following questions must be answered before accepting any call in order to properly meet the expressed need:

Champion:                    (or chairperson), the leader of the specific project

What we do:                 Clearly define the calling

Who does it:             Identify the committees and/or persons who will carry it out

How often we do it:     Annually, weekly-or other

When we do it:             be as specific as you can for your calling

Where we do it:            physical location

Why we do it:                reason(s) for doing this

Who we do it for:         state who will benefit from this calling

How we pay for it:        how everything gets paid for

How we do it:          Using as much detail as necessary, list exactly how we go about

performing the service. Step by step instructions can be very

                                       effective and are preferred.

The Champion will share a copy of the page detailing the calling with individuals and committees fulfilling the obligation every time we remind them of their commitment.

This will serve as the instruction manual for how to successfully provide the service needed.

The Champion will remain available as a guide and liaison with the Outreach Nurture Committee

If your committee chooses to complete a Mission Statement for your calling(s), please print this Mission Statement Blank Form.
